Pillings is a Japanese fashion brand created by Ryota Murakami. The brand name originates from "pilling", meaning small loose strands or balls of fiber that form on a piece of fabric. It expresses the brand's hope that people will cherish the knittings and continue to wear them until the become covered in lint balls.
